Introduction to Presentation Software

Presentation Software such as PowerPoint

Lesson Objective : Get familiar with presentation software such as PowerPoint. Add a title and subtitle, new slide, pictures and text

Lesson Outcome : Make a presentation about yourself and your favourite things (colour, subjects, place, football team, etc)

What have we done? We are starting from the beginning

What are we doing? We are getting familiar with presentation software

Where are we going? In the next lesson, we will make a text map based on a famous poem (Talk For Writing)

Task

1. Open PowerPoint (search for PowerPoint by selecting the windows button on the bottom left of your screen)

2. Choose a new presentation. Choose a template that you would like to use

3. Use the mouse to select the title and change it to your name

4. Play around and add new slides, pictures, text, etc

Success Criteria

1. Students can open presentation software and add their name as a title

2. Students can insert 2 or more pictures

3. Students can make 2 or more slides with pictures and text
